In accordance with the "Pudak Cinta Guru (Pudak Loves Teacher)" movement which has been launched recently, Pudak Scientific organized laboratory management training for Teachers and Laboratory Assistants. Pudak Scientific has been conducted this laboratory management training in various cities in Indonesia since 2009. This time, the training was held in the East end of Java island, in the regency of Banyuwangi.

This training  was a collaboration with the MGMP IPA (the Forum of School Subject Teachers) of Banyuwangi Regency and was attended by 60 science Teachers from 44 Junior High Schools of Banyuwangi.

According to Mr. Edy Siswanto, the chairman of MGMP IPA SMP (the forum of Science Teacher of Junior High School) of Banyuwangi, this laboratory management training means a lot for the Teachers in Banyuwangi, which is the East end area of Java island, because the Teachers of this region were often difficult to participate in a laboratory management training that were usually held in out of town. Mr. Edy also said that this training is expected to be able to improve the Teacher’s activeness, initiative, and creativity to manage laboratory in their respective schools properly.

This laboratory management training was started by delivering the laboratory management material by Pudak Scientific team and continued with the practice session after recess. The lab works practiced include:

• Junior High School Electricity and Magnetism Kit experiments
• Basic measurement using calipers and micrometer screw
• Junior High School Mechanics KIT experiments
• Simple Respirometer experiments
• Microscope storage and maintenance
• Simple Microtome usage
• Observation of Stomata on leaves

Training activities ended with a photo session. Participants were satisfied with this training activity.

The motto of Banyuwangi, "The Sun Rise of Java", is very much in line with Pudak Scientific's vision and mission to always be the partner for the "rise of teachers that will be the national torch" who are capable of being the pioneers and proficient in using educational teaching aids.
